Book Review:
Once, there's a girl called Matilda. Matilda is brilliant and smart. She had a brother, 3 years older than Matilda. Matilda's brother name is Michael. Matilda started reading newspapers at the age of 4. However, Mr & Mrs Wormwood (Matilda's parents) think that Matilda should watch more TV than reading books. Everyday, after Mr Wormwood goes to work, after Mrs Wormwood goes to play bingo with her friends, after Michael goes to school, Matilda will go to the library and read books. She will come back before her mother or father comes back.
One day, while the Wormwood family is having their dinner, Matilda took out a library book and started reading it. Her father saw, he walk towards Matilda, snatched the book from her and tore it into pieces. Unlike other children, Matilda did not cry at all. She just stood there quietly. The next day, Matilda ran to her neighbour, Fred. Fred keep a parrot named Chopper. Matilda wanted to borrow it from Fred for one night. But Fred said "no". However, Matilda managed to get it from Fred by giving all her pocket money.
On that night, while Matilda, Michael and their parents were watching TV, Matilda suddenly heard a sound. "Hello, hello, hello." They got a shock and stoped eating. Matilda said that it must be someone. They went to the living room, bedrooms, and even toilets! But to no avail. Suddenly Matilda's mother shouted"Maybe it's a ghost!!". Matilda then said,"Dad, why didn't you check and make sure that this house is not haunted before you brought it?" Her father pause for a moment, and ran out of the house. Mrs Wormwood and Michael went along.
The next day, Mr and Mrs Wormwood and their son came back. They decided to let Matilda go into a school. Matilda was very happy. She jumped about in the house.
When it's Matilda's first day of school, Matilda went to school by herself. Her teacher was Miss Honey. She made friends with her classmate, Lavenda. Her principle was Miss Trunchbull, who's very fierce. No one dares to talk to Miss Trunchbull...
